Coughing only at home?

For about a month or two, I have been coughing a lot while I'm at home, but I don't cough at all when I'm anywhere else. 
What could be causing this?

Is there mold in your house? Or is it particularly dry and or dusty? 
Try cleaning your house. Including dusting (in that you lift all the dust with some sort of thing that picks it up instead of just moving it around). And maybe get a humidifier. See if this helps. Also change out the air filter to your air conditioner. 
If a deep clean doesnt help, I would have someone check for mold, or if something is wrong with the central air ducts

Dust maybe? I was cleaning my garage and couldn’t stop coughing and I’m assuming that’s what it was because I’m fine now.

Have you moved into a new  built house?  If so it’s because of the paint and all the saw dust that has just sat there in the house. That’s why you should open up your windows to help get the smell and that bacteria that’s sat there for who knows  how long. If you don’t you can weaken your immune system and cause getting sick.

Dust? Mold? Mildew? It can all be in the air. Also if you have pets then you have their pet dander as well now.
