Not sure what’s happening

My doc couldn’t see anything in the ultrasound. My hcg levels are 1500 and I’m pretty sure I’m not even 4 weeks pregnant but my doc is insisting that I could have ectopic pregnancy. At the same time, she tells me that her ultrasound machine can only detect it after 6 weeks. I’m so confused!
