Progesterone supplement while pregnant?

I’m in a dilemma. 
I currently have endometriosis which caused me to have fertility issues. 
When I finally got pregnant with my first I ask my doctor if I needed to take anything during pregnancy to help avoid a miscarriage. My doctor said that with endo that hardest part is getting pregnant and that “keeping” the baby isn’t typically an issue. 
That pregnancy went great! 
Now I am pregnant with baby #2 and have a new doctor. She wants me on progesterone (though she has NEVER checked my levels) and states I could lose the baby due to my endo. 
Ummmm I don’t know what to do. I am a little scared to take the progesterone.  
Any insight? Anyone taken progesterone during pregnancy? And what did you take it for?

I asked my fertility specialist this question he said same response as your first one and told me not necessary. I just had surgery a week ago and TTC number 1! My progesterone levels were normal - on the lower side but still normal. Maybe you could look at a natural type if you’re not too keen? This is what I did! I take a metagenics product called p-lift which has Vitex in it which is meant to help. I’ve been having it for 3 months now!
Strange how they can have different opinions!

👋  I have endo also, I had no issues getting pregnant with my first two (almost 7&9 now) as endo didn’t develop til after my second was born. We struggled to get pregnant for 5 years, I had 3 miscarriages in that time, one laparoscopy (last sept), as soon as I found out I was pregnant this time my obgyn put me on oral progesterone, I’ve never had low progesterone (I’ve had so many labs done they would know if it was off). I was on it til 12 weeks, and now I’m 16 weeks. 
Before we figured out I had endo, we had gone through fertility drs and such, when I did an iui several years ago they put me on progesterone pesseries (vaginal pills) and it was terrible. It cause the yeast infection from hell (which is apparently very common with the vaginal progesterone). when my ObGyn told me he wanted me to go on it for this pregnancy I was nervous and he said to take it orally. It’s literally the same pill, you just either put it up your hooha or down the hatch lol. I had no issues at all with the oral pill- maybe a slight increase in discharge (but that’s normal I’m pregnancy anyways) and it makes you very tired, so take it at bedtime.
