We had our scheduled c-section on June 9th and welcomed the sweetest little girl I could have ever imagined! Going into the hospital that morning I was TERRIFIED. I was about to be cut wide open... while awake! Of course I knew I would be numb but I was also a nervous wreck about getting the spinal. I definitely cried way to much before being taken back. We get to the OR and the spinal was so much easier than I imagined it would be. The anesthesiologist and nurse that helped me were great. They lay me back and start getting things set up and ready, get my catheter in (so glad they wait till your spinal kicks in before they do this 😂). I was nauseated, but I honestly think it’s more because I worked myself up about everything. Next thing I know my husband is by my side and I knew things were under way. My doctor quickly said I see feet, baby was breech, reason for the c-section.. then I feel a bit of pressure, pushing and pulling and then the most joyous noise I have ever heard in my life, my sweet girls cry! My doctor said she looks like momma and I just started bawling tears of joy. They got her taken over to the warmer, and I could see everything they were doing because they had a camera over the warmer and a huge tv screen that I could watch. Before I knew it she was placed on my chest and the rest of the surgery went by so fast after that. We were in recovery before I knew it just getting to enjoy our little blessing. She instantly latched and nursed for 70 minutes!! Let’s just say I definitely worked myself up for nothing and it was thankfully so much easier and went smoother than I could have ever imagined!!

Days later and I am still just in shock I got lucky enough to be this little girls mommy! She is absolutely perfect and nursing like a champ!!
