Is 44 to late to be having a baby?

Hello to everyone. I am new to this site and just wanted to know what everyone thought......I am 44 and have a 21 year old girl. I found out earlier this year that I was pregnant and tbh it was quite a shock. Sadly I lost the baby at 8 weeks. I had never really thought about having anymore children so finding out I was pregnant was a massive shock, but now I’ve lost a baby I really want one. Do u think I’m too old??

My mom was 42 when she had me, im now 24 and she is 66.  We have the closest bond and most amazing relationship ❤ I love her dearly! I don't think 44 is too far off :) best of luck!

Nope! 44 here with a new born we have similar stories after a mc in 2018 , I have adult children so I was shocked when I found out I was pregnant but after the mc I really wanted a new baby, and my journey began. I have a beautiful baby now! So 44 is not too old btw I'm 45 now😘

It's never too late, it all depends on your life goals. Some of us in our 40's are invested in our careers with teenage children and looking into future retirement and travel. But life isn't always as you planned, look at me...new wife with 2 teenagers and a husband with no biological children of his own, we want ttc and I'm 41. This time around I feel ready and with a great man by my side. Good luck!

At 44 I would go straight to a Reproductive therapist. They will do tests: check hormones, egg quantity, and levels. Then,  that will give them an idea of what you can do next to be successful. ( 44 is not too late, it just depends. Every woman is different). Good Luck!

No it’s not too late. All you need is one good egg and I’m positive at 44 you have one. Be mindful, you can have great eggs but poor hormonal levels that with prevent a healthy egg to stick. So be sure your hormonal levels are normal. GOOD LUCK 🍀 MZ. 47 here😊

Its never to late but realistically at that age your egg quality and egg reserve isn't probably great, im 42 and that was my only issue i had to use donor eggs as I tried IVF and got zero embryos as my eggs were awful. Good luck

Somebody at my work was the same age or older and had a baby. It was her second child after her first 6 yrs apart. She thought she was too old but my mom told me it’s much easier to get pregnant if you’ve been pregnant before VS trying to get pregnant for the first time.

You are not too old if your heart wants it, but maybe your eggs are too old. Go straight to a reproduction center to give you instructions. Good luck!

When you’re too old your body will stop being capable of having children at all.  That’s why we are designed this way.  So my personal opinion is that until Mother Nature decides to make it impossible..it’s just fine.
