I think this is a question that is very personal and depends on lots of things.
How much are you comfortable with risk? Are you willing to view this as "play money" and if you lose it all it wont be a big deal? For me if I were answering this question 2 years ago, id say $200. But now, $20. Life changes how much I'm willing to risk/comfortanle with losing.
