Birth control

I’m on birth control and I have been for about 5 months, and my boyfriend wants to not use a condom because of it, but I’m still anxious and he respects that but he still always asks when he knows it makes me upset, I don’t know how to bring it to him because it seems like he understands but then he keeps asking for it. Idk what to do. We’ve been dating for a year and it’s just confusing how he still asks when he knows how I feel about it.
