Should I keep testing?

My husband and I are trying to conceive. We just started trying last month but this month I've been feeling... different. I haven't had a missed period yet but I tested this morning and it was negative. My period has never been very reliable but it's expected in like 6 days. 
Should I test everyday until a day after my period is expected? Every other day? Should I try to wait? I'm new to this so any input is appreciated.

A day before your period is due should tell you

The earlier you test the greater the odds of getting a negative, even if pregnant. My definitive positive was at 11DPO. I did test at 9 & 10 DPO, but the results were so minimal I wrote them off as negative.

For me waiting is hard but better in the long run. Constantly getting negatives sucks, so I wait until my period is due.
