“How do you get through it?”
It’s not because I’m brave, or strong, or courageous. Those seem to be the words people use to describe me when they find out what we’re going through. But truthfully, I have never felt further from those things. I feel weak, beaten-down, and defeated. The reason I’m able to get through it is because frankly, I have no other choice but to.
So I have my meltdowns. I feel weak, beaten-down, and defeated. I tell myself “I can’t do this anymore.” And then, I get up the next day, and I keep going. Not because I’m strong or courageous. But because I simply have no other option but to keep moving forward.
