Contractions ?

Has anyone on here had contractions before but cervix still closed and it turned out to be something ? ( early labour )

Went to triage yesterday as I had pains every 5-6 mins and were painful and all of my belly was getting so hard with every wave !

Monitor did pick up the tightenings but when the dr checked me out he said “ you’re not in labour cervix is still closed ”

So I went home but still having tightenings the next day ( I have slept all night so they are bare-able )

Just wondering if anyone else had these symptoms and it was early labour ?
