Mentally done
I’m hoping someone can understand how hard it is to manage extended family that are hostile.
We have one child, and recently discovered we are expecting another. I should be looking forward to the future, but I’m just full of anxiety with how to manage my in laws. They’ve always been fairly manageable, until we became pregnant with our first. Then came the hostile comments and actions. They’ve now resorted to sidelining, or ignoring me. I have been in tears when they’ve left on many occasions, after we’ve hosted them over a weekend. We don’t invite them to stay, they generally invite themselves. I don’t do confrontations, they make me feel very uncomfortable. My husband is in denial of all that has happened, so no help there.
I don’t know how I’m going to manage the next lot of changes when this new baby arrives.
I feel mentally exhausted. 😢
