How to make marriage a priority again?

We have been dealing with IVF for the last year and a half. It has taken a huge toll on our relationship. We are basically roommates at this point. After two miscarriages and a failed embryo transfer my husband is just fed up with doctors and wants to get US back. We had a long talk and we both want to improve this marriage before anything else. How do we do that? We fell into such a rut and basically have been living our own lives. Thanks for the advice!

Sit down and make a list of all of things you want to experience together... dates you’ve wanted to go on but haven’t yet, places you’ve wanted to travel to together, etc. Focus on checking things off your list together. Maybe set aside one or two evenings a week so you can have some time for just the two of you to reconnect?

It's time to put ttc on the back burner and focus on each other. You have to regain intimacy. Holding hands, hugging, kissing. Really talking and listening to one another. Go on dates, enjoy each other's company.

It's tough when this happens, and it does happen way more often than you would think. You are definitley not alone.
I would suggest shelving the idea of baby for a little while. A few months or so. Dont talk about it, dont plan, just let it go for a bit. Take time with one another to just be with each other. Cook together, go on dates, travel, have sex for fun...for pleasure rather than procreation....do all the things you did while courting.
