TB vaccine ?

Yes or no?
They want my baby to have it solely on the basis that he is of mixed ethnicity. White children are not offered this vaccine as standard where I live. I’m really torn about what to do, I’ve asked the professionals advice and they said it’s up to me. That it’s basically just for if he travels to high risk countries or if he comes into contact with anyone from high risk countries.
What would you do?😓

If baby is living here and dad doesn’t have it/was vaccinated, you’re probably fine declining.

If you plan to travel to high risk areas with baby it's definitely a good idea.  Otherwise it's probably not necessary.

What country do you live in?  And don't take it for your child.  If they do the mantoux test on them as adult I think it comes back as false positive.  I'm not sure.

Are mixed babies more likely to get TB or something? If not, that seems like a strange reason to get it.
