Controlling, making all your actions a personal thing to them so like you made breakfast but you didn’t make his favorite so you don’t care about him, his friendships are usually good indicators so if his friends are d bags.

The “too good to be true” feeling. Especially if it lasts over the honeymoon phase. Good men aren’t perfect and they don’t rush things either, abusive and narcissistic men do this to put up a mask and trick you.

Trying to manipulate your behavior. To change you. Wanting you to " conform" to the way they want things. The way you cook, clean, drive, raise kids, etc. Constantly trying to " correct" you. They'll guilt you. Trying to make you think you're the problem. When really the problem lies with them. They'll try to break you down to reduce your self esteem. " You're gaining weight, you have mommy butt in those shorts, you have bags under your eyes, etc." They'll do things to intentionally upset you & tell you it was to " punish" you for not doing something they asked. Such as leaving toilet seats up, knocking over bottles in the shower, throwing trash on floor instead of garage. Basically anything that will upset you. They'll call you stupid... Try to make you think you're not up to their level.
When you know the signs. You see them for what they are & can stand up for yourself & point out you're aware of what they're trying to do & failing.
