Someone help please

Hey i don’t know how this works but I need some help or someone to explain to me my problem.

Well.. I started the pill last week and you know how your start it in a certain section when you first get your period since buying it well... my period hasn’t stopped. Normally I have heavy flow for the first 2 days then medium the next then light then it’s gone, my periods are pretty quick and don’t normally last a whole week but since starting the pill it was heavy then medium then light and it’s still light.

Now I’m getting (idk what to call it) like clumps/spotting which normally only happens at the start it’s of my period I feel like it’s going on off on off ughhhhh. My boyfriend said maybe I go off the pill and skip a day to see what happens but i don’t know if it will make it worse

So what do I do or what’s happening?? :(
