House Hunting- how many did you see before buying?

We've been house hunting for 6 weeks and are up to 24(?) houses.   We live in the Columbus, Ohio, metro.  Four more on the list for today, eliminated another 5 yesterday.... We're getting closer!

I saw close to 100 houses and put in 5 different offers before one was accepted. I wasn't low balling by any means we are just in an investors area so we kept getting beat by all cash offers. Finally found the house that was perfect and we only got it without a bidding war because the owner said I reminded her of her daughter. Don't give up.

1, and then my in-laws crabbed at us for looking since my husband had asked them about us buying their house. But we had asked months previously and hadn't heard a thing back. It was good because we never would have been able to afford that good of a house otherwise, but I had been looking forward to going house hunting for myself for years.

I wouldn't worry. Me and my partner have looked at about 12 and still not found the one we want. We also have to move out of our house by 23rd. Got another viewing on Sunday so fingers crossed for us both!

When we bought our first house we looked at maybe 3. Bought it as a fixer upper with no plans to stay permanently. Then before we had finished fixing it up my husbands childhood home was for sale so we sold the first one half fixed up and bought his childhood home. Granted its definitely NOT the house I would have chosen but its been in the family for over 100 years so its more of a nostalgic thing.
