Confused

I had a boyfriend of 1 year and 2 months and I was so In love with him and we also had sex a few times but we broke up about 8 months ago, and now I'm with someone new and he is so lovely and I adore him but I can't seem to get my ex out of my head, but I would never want to hurt my current boyfriend because he deserves better and he means the world to me and he's so nice to me and he's in love with me. I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to do? Nah suggestions?
