Blocked him but regret it

I’m pretty sure many of us have been in this situation. We block a guy and regret it🙃 I regret it because I realized that me and him never communicated about the situation that went on between us I want to talk to him about this and hopefully clear some things up but I already blocked him on snap. I can text him but what do I say without sounding dumb (if that’s even possible)?
