Anyone’s baby still not talking yet?!!!

My son is STILL not talking.  He says about 6 words 😭😭
He’s starting speech therapy soon.  Hoping he starts talking soon.  I’m getting pretty worried 😥😥😥😥

My boy still isn’t talking either. He only says dada and everything else is “da”. His hearing is great, he makes eye contact, points, and follows directions well. When we ask him to imitate sounds he’ll imitate them for the most part but has zero interest in actually trying to talk. We just got a referral for a speech therapist as well. His cousin, an August 2018 baby, isn’t talking at all either.

All these comments make me feel so much better. My son will be 2 in a couple of weeks and he has two words. He’s so independent and I can tell most of his tantrums are because he’s trying to communicate, but we don’t know what he wants. My pediatrician seems to be blowing it off, but everything I’ve read says 50 words by 2 is the average. It’s really hard not to worry 😕

Mine isn’t talking either. I’ve tried new books and flash cards to help, but he never stays focused.

He points to the entire alphabet and knows his letters and animals and the sounds they make but isn’t talking

My son can barely follow simple commands (which I think that’s less about him understanding and more to do with hes stubborn and doesn’t want to listen lol) and he barely talks. He occasionally says momma. He can say cat. He makes the “cuh” noise to ask for milk. He can do the sign for “all done” and “more”. While his favorite songs are playing it sounds like he’s saying some of the words but he doesn’t use them other than while he’s singing. That’s about it as far as his communication goes.  His pediatrician won’t do anything for him. Says as long as he’s babbling then he’s ok at this age.  I don’t necessarily agree but I listen to him since he’s the doctor. But if his vocabulary doesn’t improve by the time he’s 2 I’m gonna really push to get referred to a speech therapist. I beat myself up over it and feel guilty. But I try to remember that I play with him and talk to him and do all I can to help him learn. He doesn’t sit still long enough to try flash cards or do any kind of activities like that to help us out because he’s such a busy body boy.

No. He started speech therapy (through webcam) on June 3rd. It's once a week for 45 minutes. He had three sessions and I had my third baby the day before his fourth, so he missed last weeks session. 
But I haven't really seen any improvement yet. Right now, she's mostly wanting us to work on signs (for eat, drink, all done, and more) and teaching him to point, since he doesn't point either. 
It's very stressful. My son is extremely independent, almost antisocial. Getting him to sit with me in front of my camera for classes is very difficult. He just wants to leave the entire time and pitches a fit because he can't.

My son does talk in phrases but his doctor said 6 words was all he needed at his 18th-month well-baby check. :)

My son tries to talk, but his words usually don’t sound like anything comprehensible. Every once in a while he says “I don’t know” or “Minnie” - our dogs name, dada, mama, and no. 
He had tubes put in around 14 months and we hoped that would help. He understands us but still doesn’t speak. Please let me know how speech therapy goes!

My son says a couple of phrases- oh no, all gone, thank you and about 15 words, though they aren’t all 100% clear but you can make out what he’s saying. I was wondering if I should be worried about him by now, he’s only just starting recently as well. He does follow instructions well and definitely understands us but the speech seems behind. Let us know how the speech therapy goes.
