First contact with midwife?

Hi ladies. I got my BFP at 3 weeks, I rang my doctors that day and they booked me in with the midwife on Dec 3rd (I will be 8 weeks) this will be my first contact.
I see some of you are having appointments at around 5 weeks??
 Waiting 6 weeks until I see the midwife is driving me crazy... And I'm only half way thru, another 3 weeks to go lol 🙈
Does this sound normal to you? I'm in the UK not sure if it's different in the US

8-10 weeks is normal for us UK ladies! If you are a terrible worrier (like me!) you could pay for an early scan,  I used babybond they're all over the UK, it was so reassuring to see the little heartbeat. If it's something people can afford I'd definitely recommend it.... Sometimes you can get offers on and I believe they start at as little as £40ish ☺ good luck

I'm in Ireland and I had to wait until 11weeks to see the midwife.

I have to wait until week 9...I am 8 weeks today! 7 days until my first appointment! 
The wait has been rough but I think it's normal.
