Is my almost 3 year old too big for this???

I've been looking into getting my daughter a bike for her birthday and we're looking at a 14 inch bike, since I think she's going to grow out of a 12 inch soon. Since a 3 year old should be able to have the coordination to actually ride a bike soon, we're skipping the balance bike and getting a normal bike and taking off the pedals until she learns to balance, then putting the pedals back on. We're going to try to splurge on the Woom 2 whenever they're back in stock with the hopes that it'll stay in good shape until my baby is big enough for it when my daughter grows out of it. 14 inch is still pretty small.

I would say yes. My daughter is on the highest the seat will go while still being able to stride on it. We are thinking of getting her a training bike for her birthday

That depends on your child! Mine is a bit scared by a balance bike, she won't try them for more than a few seconds at once, but it's still ahead of her so she's not too big for it. However, if your child already does great with these, then you don't need it.
