What would you do? Should we get married this year? Or wait?

We are meant to get married in August. We live in the uk and the covid rules say that we can only have a legal wedding ceremony and no reception. 30 people are allowed at the ceremony including the reverend, us and the photographer.
We had scheduled a back up date next August. 
But now we don’t know whether we should get married now, and accept the restrictions, or wait. 
What would you do? 
Some people have said do the ceremony this year and have a blessing and reception next year.
The uncertainty and deciding is making me so sad.
The social distance rules would mean I can’t walk arm in arm with my dad down the aisle

I'd wait and do it how I really wanted it in 2021

Not sure how you’d like it but just an option.... go ahead & get married. Have a small one. Then next year around your anniversary when all this is over with have the big wedding & reception you really want, walking down the isle with your dad & all the other people you want there.

Since have your dad walk you down means so much to you, I’d say you should wait until 2021 to have your dream wedding + reception.

Mine was supposed to be in March but we had to cancel. They said we could have it now but everyone would have to wear a mask and we could only have 20 people. I told them no I didn’t wanna do it because we’ve been planning this and spent so much money and I wanna have my dream wedding and my fiancé agreed. We wanna be able to have all of our friends and family there to celebrate with us. I also don’t wanna look back at my pictures in ten years and see everyone wearing a mask.

We wouldn't have had enough space for immediate family with only 30 people 😂 
I'd personally wait, it gives you and family and friends something to look forward to after such a tough year this has been (for most) and when you marry, you marry for a lifetime, so a year later shouldn't make a difference

It’s a a personal choice. Personally, we would have gotten married with the 30 people, saved money from people that didn’t turn up anyway and just had the important people there. However if you want a bigger wedding then move it until next year. Our friends were supposed to get married in June, moved it to sept and now have moved it to June next year.
