Baby Shower Responses

I'm trying to properly gauge my response. I know I'm tired and hormonal and stressed about things way outside of this. I'm going to do a small friend and family gathering for a baby shower and was asking FB friends if we did a virtual aspect for the ones far away who would be interested. My MIL private messages me that they want to throw their own party for us so that she can be included but it will be the family there and a video chat. For some reason this just doesn't sit right with me. None of his family even responded when we sent out pregnancy announcements to each of them, and we haven't heard from any of them besides MIL since. I told her back in March we would do a baby shower first week of August and she said she'd come but probably alone. I can't figure out how to respond to her right now🤷‍♀️
