Bloody show at 36 weeks!!
I’m currently 36 weeks and 3 days, due date is July 25 and yesterday I stepped out to go grab me an iced mocha from jack in the box I absolutely love them, they don’t contain much caffeine and they taste more like chocolate milk😋 ANYWAYS, as I was pulling up to drive thru I felt as if I had peed 👀 and I curiously touched my flower pot and when I looked at my fingers there was blood! I rushed back home when I arrived, I put my shorts down AND it was a bloody show 😂 i was freaking out for a minute and suddenly I felt something coming down my tunnel 👀 and when I wiped, it was a mucus looking kinda thing the size of a lime!(I have been loosing my mucus plug these past days, but read that its not normal for bright red blood to come with it)2 min passed and again I felt something coming down and this time was smaller than the first thingy that came out lol called my OB, she ordered me to head straight to the hospital, when I arrived they did ultrasound, made sure baby was fine. All lab test came back 100%normal placenta was perfectly fine and in place and still in tact baby is healthy and they saw nothing out of the abnormal. They gave me 2 steroid shots to strengthen the baby’s lungs in case she would be born at the 36 weeks. I am 1cm dilated, they kept me over night to monitor my baby and see if I’d bleed again, which thankfully I didn’t anymore. I got sent home today on bed rest. Unfortunately they weren’t able to figure out exactly why the bleeding occurred 🤷🏽♀️ the closest thing they came to was that my placenta might have detached/moved and caused the bleeding but it apparently healed itself and didn’t cause anymore bleeding.
Just wanted to share my experience and let mommas know that things can occur and unfortunately are out of our control. I was so afraid my babygirl wasn’t Oky but I tried my VERY VERY best to be calm and just let things play out as they needed to without stressing. So mommas when things don’t go as expected, remain calm and let out our strong women power and remain as tranquil as possible❤️
