Not sure what to do...

My son will be five months old next week and about a month ago, I weaned him from his paci. He was really reliant on it to where it seemed like he always needed it to fall asleep. Fast forward a month, he now always sucks on his two middle fingers. When I was little, I did the same thing and it messed my mouth up and I had to get braces for many years. My question is, should I stay the course and hope he won’t mess his teeth up or give the paci back to him? My first born never had a paci but sucked on his thumb and his teeth are crooked..and my daughter always used a paci and had perfectly straight teeth🤷🏼‍♀️
