Trump sexual violence tweet

As someone who works in the sexual violence movement, it’s a complete bullshit claim that women and men being in close proximity would warrant sexual violence

Sexual violence has and always will be a power move and has nothing to do with sexual satisfaction( as in its about creating power over someone and not about just wanting to have sex with them because you think they are super hot)

This also showcases how far back we are in understanding that sexual violence can harm those of every gender and same sex sexual violence happens often!

I’m aware this tweet is older and in 2016 he did go on to defend the tweet saying it’s still true, but in light of the situation of rape and disappearance of Vanessa Guillien, should this tweet be brought back up and be dissected yet again for the harmful nature of it?
