MIL Issues

Hey everyone!

Okay so I’m having some MIL issues. She is very controlling and just overall too much for me. My husband is the baby of the family so of course she is 10x more controlling and overbearing. There have been many instances where she has caused A LOT of tension in our marriage and I just put up with it for my husband. My husband says he defends me but when it comes to his mom I don’t feel like he does. So the instance that was the last straw was today. I’m in a family group chat with his family (mom dad sister in law brother in law and my other brother in law) and my husband sent to the chat a project he was working on today and his mom had the balls to say if you were single you wouldn’t have to work as hard and since you don’t have kids yet you would get more sleep. She also said you could do whatever you want. I was PISSED. My husband texted her calling her out on it and my sister in law said something to her but I left the group chat and I told my husband I’m done. So what are some boundaries to put in place and how do I enforce those boundaries? Am I overreacting?
