My test are getting darker but no baby???

I had a bleed today at 6 weeks and went for a scan and they couldn’t find baby, just saw blood in my womb. It was a private scan as hospital isn’t taking me until Friday. I took a test this morning as well and had a dye stealer, I guess line progression was pointless now. Has anything like this happen to anyone else? I thought you’d likely see baby and heartbeat at 6 weeks. They think I’m either much earlier than I think or I’ve lost the baby. Bleeding has stopped. This happen to anyone else?
