help!

For the last couple months, i have had a pimple like bump on my bikini line that feels smaller / larger every once in a while. I leave it go and then it gets a white head, so I will pop it and some goo like substance comes out. I went to the gyno for my check up and was told it was from shaving and that I should avoid shaving that area if possible (and i have been), but it won’t go away! I don’t know what to do! She said it’s not an ingrown hair, my skin is just irritated! Does anyone have any ointment or cream that they recommend? I want it off!!! 😫
