Opinions??

Okay, so I'm as white as it gets and I really want braids in my hair... like blue or pink box braids. I really like how they look, but I'm scared to get them because I don't want to be criticized by anyone because it's "a black culture thing" or something... I don't mean anything negative by that, it's just that a white lady got box braids and she got HELLA backlash for it. I really want to get them, I just don't want the negative backlash for it...

So basically what I want to know is can I get box braids if I'm white??
