Tongue/ lip tie?

Question

Since my baby was born she had issues eating. She didn't seem to latch on in the hospital and was constantly at my breast. She lost 9% of her body weight the first couple days which I was told was normal. The only way to settle her was to hand express in a spoon and feed her. 
She stopped losing weight and i was told she couldn't have a tongue tie if shes attempting to latch. 
However i just read this... she has almost every single symptom except now she's gaining weight fine. Falls asleep every nursing session. Doesn't sleep longer than 15-20 mins. Eats 15-20 times a day. Is always overtired. Clicks when eating, pops off the breast frequently. Gets frustrated while eating. Oh and she won't take a bottle or pacifier.

Colic symptoms, gas symptoms, reflux symptoms. My nipples always hurt and look like a tube of lipstick.
Has anyone gone through this? Should I schedule an appointment with my pediatrician? A pediatric dentist? Or a lactation consultation? I just want my baby to be happy but she's so frustrated.

My daughter was tongue tied all the way to the tip and also has buckle ties. We got her tongue tie clipped by her pediatrician at a few days old and have been working with occupational therapy to correct her latching issue and the tightness in her mouth. She is nursing great now and we are graduating therapy this month.

2/3 of my kiddos had tongue ties. 
For my first, I had no clue what I was doing. I never got it corrected. Bad news: it hurt like hell until her mouth got bigger/she got the hang of breastfeeding. Good news: it eventually stopped hurting and we had a great breastfeeding relationship and called it quits at 14 months.
For my second, I knew right away that he had a tie bc that horrible pain was back. Pediatrician corrected it at like 3-4 days old and we went on to breastfeed til 14 months. 
If you think it’s a tie, pediatrician would be my first call and a pediatric dentist would be my second. If they tell you it’s not a tie then it sounds like a latch issue and I’d reach out to my pediatrician for a lactation consultant recommendation. 
I know it’s hard, defeating and exhausting. You’re doing amazing. In the end, do what keeps you and baby happy and healthy and forget the rest. ❤️

Both my kids had tongue and lip tie. Schedule an appointment with with an ENT to get it fixed. It helped them so much with their latch.

This is my sons lip tie, you would be able to see if she had one. I would make an appointment with a lactation consultant it doesn’t hurt! Good luck mama!

Currently going through this as well! Take baby to a pediatric dentist to get evaluated. My girl had a posterior tongue tie that was hard to see but could be felt. Nursing has improved, but isn’t perfect. Doesn’t hurt to go get her looked at. You’re doing a great job!

You can tell if she has a tongue tie just by looking. It’s the little flap of vertical skin under the tongue. My little guy had one and it went all the way to the tip of his tongue. It greatly affected his ability to breastfeed properly but he was still trying to latch. He was always crying (which I thought was colic or gas/reflux) but just turned out he was always hungry cus he wasn’t able to efficiently suck on my nipple. In turn made him tired but I thought he was done eating. We got a referral to an Eye Nose and Throat dr that took care of it in one visit. It was really simple.
