Is it bad??

Question

So ive rocked my son to sleep every night since he was 2 weeks old. The first 2 weeks my boyfriend helped. Every night my son goes to sleep between 8 and 9:30 and i of course rock him. We had a late dinner tonight but wanted to keep baby boy on schedule so while i ate my boyfriend/his dad was rocking him and he would just cry and throw a fit. Does anyone elses baby do this? Is it bad that his dad cant put him to sleep at night?
Ps...i dont mind doing it every night. I love the snuggles.

I honestly have to put my baby to bed every night and for every nap. She doesn’t want daddy to do it lol only me, and if I sing I can get her to sleep in seconds sometimes! I honestly kinda love the idea that she needs her mommy to feel comfortable enough to fall sound asleep 💕

Even though I'm the primary care provider, sometimes she can't get to sleep until her daddy does his special rocking and soothing chant. I think it's preferable that babies learn to fall asleep independently, but once in awhile we have to baby them. They grow up so fast. I do think you should try to make your boyfriend help more often so that your baby isn't fully dependent on you to fall asleep. You need a break sometimes too, even if it does feel good to be the special one.

My boy was like this until around 1 year old. My 12 week old daughter is starting to do it to. Drives me crazy because some nights she takes so dam long to get to sleep.
