Sex at 17..? TMI

Question

I'll be 18 in 4 months.

I am very ready for sex. I was raped at 15, but feel ready now. I never had sex. I am not on birth  control.

I am getting very aroused around guys I find attractive,  but I know better than to sleep with any guy.

I feel like it is going to be very soon. If not,  for surly in the next year.

Any advise or tips?

Has anyone on here been in this situation before?

Get on birth control for at least 2 months before having sex, takes a while to get in your system

I've seen posts like these that make me think someone is intentionally posting to see what reaction or comments they'll get. Like maybe its the glow admin. Why would a 17 year old who's never had sex have an app that  "calculates fertility".

Get on birth control and Get condoms. Ask him to use one. Most boys won't even bring it up. If you're not comfortable insisting on using it, you may not be as ready as you feel. If you're not comfortable buying them, you're not ready.

My advice, start birth control as soon as possible so you will be prepared there and not worrying about it when the time comes. Also, I think it's more meaningful when you care about someone and you know they care and respect you too. It doesn't have to be someone you are planning on spending the rest of your life with, but your history along with the risks all of us take when having sex, being with someone you care for and respect makes it a more enjoyable experience. Don't wait to get on birth control because you want to be prepared not scared after the fact. Buy condoms, learn how to use them and don't expect any guy to offer to wear one, you have to insist on it. And just make sure you are comfortable enough to have these conversations about condoms and birth control. The way I saw it was, until I was completely comfortable being naked with myself and buying condoms and going to the gyno to get birth control (which also meant telling my mom) I wasn't ready to have sex no matter how turned on I was by a guy.

I ! It took me a while after my incident to feel ready for it because I was still confused on what was right and wrong you know ?! I was so little when it happend. But luckily I found someone who understood me and didn't pressure me . And I gave it all to him we are 2 years together now and I'm very happy . The memories of that incident are almost gone ! So my advice to you is to really feel ready if you still doubt yourself on doing it then it's probably not right . Talk to them and see how you feel about them maybe then you'll find out if you are ready .
