Do men come back eventually?

I’ve dying for my ex. We have a 3 year old together. He still likes to bring me around the house, around his kids and spend tome with my daughter and I. I even sleep over but today I have convinced myself that he’s just playing me or he’s confused. I know he’s seeing someone else and seeing Me. I have decided to remove myself from the situation but I am literally heartbroken. Do men come back? I’m going to start doing me. I’m done. I hope one day he regrets it

Yeah sometimes they come back.
Sometimes they don't. 
In my experience, when they do come back it's usually too late. By that time I've already moved on, bettered myself and realised I was way out of their league, anyways.

It sounds like he’s just stringing you along because you’re allowing it. He sees your desperation. Sorry but he does. And he likes the attention you’re giving him. Who wouldn’t? Some men eventually wise up, but that’s rare. I have learned the hard way that when a man wants a girl he will find a way to be with her/show her. My husband (before we were married) once sat on my tiny porch in the pouring rain to get me not to leave him. His family was against us getting married and I wasn’t sure I could marry him as he was super close with them. I didn’t want to be fighting with them for years to come. So I told him I couldn’t marry him. He sat on my porch begging my mom and crying for me not to leave him. I loved him so much and it hurt to see him hurting. We got married, and it still sucked with his family but he never wavered in showing his love for me. I’ve never once doubted how he felt. We’ve been together for 15 years. But before him I had an ex bf who would call to hang out and I’d drop everything to go to him. He strung me along for months. And I let him. I was so desperate to be with him, to be liked. It took a few months to realize I needed to stop. And then when I met my husband I realized how it should have been, and that it was never meant to be with the ex. I know it’s hard, but you have to do what’s best for you and your heart and your child.

He’ll come back as long as you make yourself available. Thats not always a good thing..
Sometimes they come back, just to leave again. Don’t get stuck in the same cycle.
I’m currently in that cycle. Because I’m pregnant. Knowing I deserve better but waiting for the turn around. It’s not fair. Don’t do it to yourself. Go while you can. Be appreciated and loved properly

That question is unanswerable. Well at least the way you worded it. Believe it or not, not every man is a piece of shit. So you can't know if he'll come back or not just because he's a man.  
You can't just generalise like that. But in this case I'd say no. He doesn't sound like he wants anything other than to play you. I'm so sorry you have to deal with someone like this. If he is leading you on and then dating other women then I'd say you did the right thing removing yourself from that. That's a very mature thing to do that some people can't. 
I wish you the best of luck that you find a man that sees you as the only woman worth looking at. Who will treat you like the queen you deserve to be treated like.

Why would he come back if you're so readily available?
Ever heard of playing hard to get? 
As soon as you get on with your own life and don't pander to him or entertain him he'll be interested. 
Men are hunters, you're easy prey as you're offering yourself up by sleeping over etc, he knows he can have you without working for or committing to you. 
In short... he's having his cake & eating it.
