Tell mom or no??

So my boyfriend and I are sexually active and we are both 18 but still live at home. We'll his dad found one of the used condoms so he knows about it but I guess I'm just wondering if I should tell my mom we are or not??

If your mom is an understanding person (whether or not she approves) it would be nice to tell her. She might be upset, but ultimately will appreciate you telling her. It could potentially open up a whole other level of trust and you guys might even bond. In the future, there will be times you have questions about certain things, and you will feel more comfortable going to her for advice since she won't be bombarded all at once with the news. She might already even know you are sexually active (or assumes you are) and is letting you come to her! But it's ultimately your call :) Good luck.

I had a mom that would never talk about sex and was very strict, so I didn't tell her and I was 18 as well. One day she found condoms in my purse and all hell broke loose. As much as I wanted to tell her, I knew she would have went crazy on me. But that's just how my mom is

I agree, do tell her. Be open with her. We all want our children to be open with us and to tell us everything. I'm hoping my daughter will be comfortable enough to tell me.

I told my dad before I first had sex with my boyfriend, he was understanding and told me to be smart about it, so it's best to be honest and open with your parents so they are aware
