Shakeology while ttc/pregnancy?

We are starting IVF after my next period which is in about 2 weeks. A I was wondering if anyone was advised against it while ttc or pregnant?

My doctor told me to not restrict my diet too much leading up to IVF. Just eat healthy and my clinic recommended a Mediterranean diet for healthy eggs. She said lots of lean protein, fish (for omegas), and plenty of healthy fats like nuts, avocado and olives. She also suggested antioxidants and had me on an Acai pill supplement.

Thanks ladies. I am starting my IVF journey next month and just wasn’t sure. Been trying to stay away from carbs and have been doing shakology for lunch’s. I figure if I get pregnant I’ll figure that all out with a Dr. but didn’t want to jump the gun at this point. I have read stuff where your eggs that will be used have been growing since 3 months out till present? Just trying to do this right. Any advice on meal options are welcomed. Xoxox

My doctor told me anything was ok, including shakes. The only vitamin you need to watch out for is vitamin A. Don’t take in too much of it. Other vitamins, if they’re in excess, you’ll just release them when you pee, but excess vitamin A is a no-no according to my doctor.

I would ask your doctor. That plus a prenatal could mean you are taking in too high a level of certain vitamins. Next time you have an appointment I would bring a nutrition label with you. There won’t be much medical evidence to support or refute shakeology as a whole for TTC/while pregnant, but your doctor should be able to tell from ingredients. You also absolutely shouldn’t be using it to replace meals while pregnant.
