Hey friends! I wanted some advice on breaking to my dad that I will be moving out with my boyfriend in three weeks. I am going to be a freshman in college and will be moving closer to campus, I work 45 hours a week and will be financially stable. My dad is emotionally abusive and is terrible with change. I need tips on how to stay cool and collected while telling him and also trying to to break down and cry while he is freaking out over this whole situation. My mom already knows and has been super supportive of my decision. My dad also doesnt get along with my boyfriend the most because my dad is over-protecrive to the point that he thinks no one is good enough for me. My boyfriend and I have been together for four years now and I'm so excited to move and start a new chapter in my life however a lot of my stress is coming from the fact that I need to tell my dad and am dreading it in a way. Please help :)
