Depends/disposable underwear

For those of you who wore mesh underwear/adult diapers after delivery, how many days postpartum did you continue to wear them? I’m currently 3 days PP and my bleeding has slowed down quite a bit, although it’s still fairly heavy. I feel like I could possibly switch back to regular underwear with some large postpartum pads but am also so worried about being in public and becoming a bloody mess (Have our first postnatal check up this afternoon and not sure what I should do) This is my first baby and any advice would be greatly appreciated!
