Can you change doctors a couple moths prior to delivery ?

So I don’t drive and getting around is a bit difficult . My fiancé’s only day off work is Wednesday’s so for him to take me an hour to and back on his only day off is not something I really want to ask him to do... Now I’m currently at an OB that’s by my house but I don’t really like the doctor that much , nor do I want a 2 star doctor delivering my baby for obvious reasons. I found a great doctor about an hour away from me and was wondering if your allowed to change your OB a couple months prior to delivery. The only downfall would be that I have to stay with this doctor for the time being but convenience is a huge reason I would stay with them for now, and would change just two months before baby is coming to my preferred doctor?

Thoughts ? Is this allowed?
