Not going as imagined
Ok so my husband and I have an almost 1 yr old. 1 yr in a few days. Anyway earlier this yr we had talked about having another. I wanted to wait until covid was over or at least wait a little while longer to save some. We had planned on waiting till September. Well God had other plans. At the time I was freaking out but now my little boy in the making is a blessing. Im 15 weeks, 16 this Friday.
I missed my 12 week appt because my husband got covid and we were quarantined. Yesterday was my first appt since being released. My dr at first said if I had symptoms he would get me tested but if i didnt he wouldn't. Well now he wishes i would have. 🤦 like thanks doc. But he also confuses me for my sister. (The clinic my husband was tested at was only testing symptomatic patients 🙄 and refused to test me).
Its been 3 weeks since our exposure so he said he would just treat me as a patient who had had it since he doesn't know for sure.
So ive been put on a baby aspirin a day to prevent blood clots. He said that for some exposed started to also have symptoms of eclampsia. My feet have started to swell and my last pregnancy they didnt swell this early also ive been having migraines and headaches. I had them before I was pregnant but ive had two migraines this month which is not normal for me. I usually go months in between migraines. He also recommended that i get induced at 39 weeks. He said that if im induced then and I'm not positive I don't have to wear a mask while in labor. However, if I go into labor on my own that I would have to wear one. I don't want to be induced but it also makes sense to me to be in a controlled environment and situation.
Im so lost. Ive heard varying things about induction. That it hurts worse hurts the same.
I really wanted this labor to be unmedicated but i don't think i can wait out long hours of pain. My first labor I got lucky with only 5 hrs of labor total.
Encouragement and advice on what you would pick would be helpful. I know i have time but I'm also one of those people that need it all planned out ahead of time.
Thank you!
