Child care cost?

I have a quick question! I have an almost 14 month old daughter, and I’m looking to go back to work soon. I know that I already have the job, just waiting to go get a COVID test done before I start since it’s mandatory. I have a friend whose mom offered to babysit my daughter 8 hours a day 3-4 days a week. I’m from a super small town also! Like you can fully drive through it in 5 minutes if that makes a difference lol. About how much do y’all think I should pay her? She told me to come up with an amount that I can afford, but I have no clue how much child care normally cost.

Most baby sitters in my area charge $15/hour. Low end sketchy Facebook sitters are like $10 and your top ones are like $20-25 an hour. But normally in my state it’s like $15-20

Babysitters in my area who have experience want at least $20 to $25 an hour. There are the occasional people who will take $15. Thankfully I have my ex-step mother watch my daughter and I pay her $10 an hour as I only work part time. But, there was a point in time where I was looking for a new sitter and not one person would take $10

A lot of in home daycare where I live start at $150 and go up from there. We paid family between $150-$200 depending on how many days we needed.

I paid $135 a week for 4 days/7 hours a day when my daughter was in day care. I would bring breast milk/diapers/wipes/change of clothes for her each week. Once she was on solids I would bring snacks, but she would be fed a lunch there. 
I am in California if that matters. Actual licensed day cards were much more expensive, but our friends used this lady and trusted her. We never had any issues and it worked out/was affordable. When we switched to preschool at 3 it cost $580 a month.

I now pay $230 a week for a 3yr old and 8m old.

I paid my cousin $60 a day to watch my 2 year old. We upped it to $63 because she provides meals for her now as well (she babysits other kids and they eat better if they all have the same food). I think we are getting a really amazing deal with her. The daycare I sent my daughter to before was $650 a month and sometimes she would only need to go 2-3 days 😬
