Would you stay another night?

My boyfriend is having serious withdrawal from one of his medications because he wasn’t able to take it yesterday. He is vomiting, sweating profusely, tremors etc. we know it’s because of the medicine because it’s happened once before. He was able to take his medicine earlier today but he vomited it up. I stayed the night last night but would you stay the night again to make sure he’s okay? He hasn’t been able to keep down fluids for 24 hrs. I’m 21 but still live at home and afraid to ask my parents if I’m allowed to stay another night

I think 24 hrs without keeping fluids down is a good enough reason to visit a hospital even though you know the cause. If nothing else then just to monitor and hydrate. Vomiting can cause severe dehydration.

He should be taken to the hospital. Not keeping fluids down on top of vomiting for 24 hours is SERIOUS.

He should not be left alone. Period. If you can't stay, he needs to be with another adult or with a doctor. No matter what the reason is...24 hours not keeping fluids down is extremely dangerous.
