How long after a missed period do you get a blood test?

My period is nearly a week late but I keep testing negative. I have pretty some of the classic pregnancy symptoms (heavy uterus, bloating, nausea). I’ve tried different tests and they all come out negative. How long after a missed period is it advised to get a blood test?

You can request one but my doctor prefers me to be two weeks late. I’ve been 9-10 days late before without being pregnant

I think it’s up to you. 
I would first call the doctor and ask when they think you should come in. Glow predictions could be off and you could also just wait another week. Once you go in for the test, you have to wait days for the results anyway. It’s not instant.
