Discipline?

We live upstairs, the center doesn't cool off our room. So it is HOT. We have a standing fan in here to help keep us and baby cool. He keeps touching the fan. We tell him no, we move his hand away, redirect his focus. Nothing works. We have tried popping on the hand. Sitting on our laps. How can I keep him from touching it?

He doesn’t quite understand, as much as you want him to. You’ll probably have to move the fan so he can’t play with it. I know it sucks, but I have to do the same with the dog water and the Roomba. 😭

Perhaps a play yard/gate to block his access to the fan?

Can i tell you how many times my son has eaten dog food or dirt from our house plant 🤦🏼‍♀️ They’re just too young to “get it” yet. I know what that little turd is thinking though, so I’m just getting up faster these days to turn him away.

I definitely wouldn’t be “popping him on the hand” he’s one. If he can reach it then he’s going to try and get it. My daughter  loves the fan. No way would I leave it within her reach.

Nothing’s going to work at this age lolol 😒 Any chance you could switch to a table top fan instead?
