Rectal pain during labor

I had my daughter via c section in November after 3 days of induced labor and I was only at 7cm by the time I demanded a c section.

I got an epidural when I was about 5/6 cm but not for the contraction pain. The worst pain I’ve ever felt was them sticking their hand into my vagina to check how dilated/ where the baby was. I later found out my cervix was extremely swollen with edema due to that.

So I got the epidural and was on cloud 9 lol. Until the next day. The epidural had worn off and my baby’s head was hitting my sacrum/ tailbone with every contraction and it honesty felt like someone’s fist was trying to come out of my butt from the inside. I was screaming in agony and they wouldn’t give me ANY medication for relief. They just wanted to reposition and at that point I was only 7cm and it could have been hours/ days until I was at 10. Basically why I demanded a c section, something in my gut told me this was wrong.

Anyway! Anyone else feel that pain? I swear it was traumatizing, and makes me not want another one 😂
