Early scan

So I’m having a scan on Thursday, I think I’ll only be about 5w+5d but my midwife thinks I’ll be about 7 weeks (I was on the pill until the beginning of June and haven’t had a period since November so having a tricky time figuring exact dates).

I’m just wondering if anyone has had a scan as early as 5w5d? And what I should expect? I’m aware it’s incredibly early so I don’t want to get too disheartened if I don’t see anything, but on the other hand I’m hoping I get to see the little cherub!
