Being induced 😬

Today i learned that i am 3cm dilated and still have a thick cervix. I’m not sure how quickly or slowly it can soften. We discussed going for induction at 39 weeks and 2 days. Baby is estimated to be large. Both doctor and i are aware the baby could be a lb off in either direction but who wants to take the chance of delivering a 10lber vaginally. We are still hoping i go naturally before Sunday but who knows what this big peanut wants to do. Any positive stories for me?
