They werent kidding about the fainting/dizziness
The first time it happened i was at work. I figured i got up to fast or i got to hot or my body was just tired getting use to working again after being laid off for 3 and a half months. The second time happened when i was in my OBs waiting room. Ended up telling my ob during my appointment and since i was due for more blood work she added a few things just to check everything out. Flash forward to today when i went to Labcorp to do my bloodwork, I also had to do my glucose test. Drank it just fine and went and sat in the waiting room to have my blood drawn in an hour. After maybe 15-20 minutes I felt like i was going to pass out, so i just closed my eyes and put my head back and waited for it to pass. Eventually it passed and then not even another 10 mins later it happened again. So i told the lady at the front desk what was happening and she brought me into the back where they had a fan and a lounging type chair that I assume they use for patients who pass out from blood draw. Well another 5 or 10 min later I get that feeling again. So they laid me back and put a cold towel on the back of my neck. Luckily that did the trick and it stopped happening when I only had like 15 minutes left for the glucose test.
Also to answer any questions i know i will be getting. Yes i ate before work and before both appointments, I had already drank most of a water bottle before both appointments. And i work at a restaurant so im constantly talking to customers in person and on the phone while wearing a mask so my throat dries out quickly so I am constantly drinking water at work.
Im hoping the blood tests from today will give me some answers as to why this is happening.
