Kidney stones?

I am very concerned I may have kidney stones. I woke up at 430am with the most excruciating lower back pain. No position helped. I thought I may pass out. I have a tele Doctor Apt tonight. Has anyone had kidney stones before? I'm scared :(

I have, but not while pregnant. I was told by some who have done birth that it was worse than labor. I didn’t have the common kidney stone symptoms but was sent to the ER because the nurse on the call line thought it could be an appendix issue. Luckily haven’t had a reoccurrence!

I had a kidney stone two years ago. Took three months to resolve the issue and three surgeries. I was heavily medicated and still miserable. 
I had my daughter without any intervention or pain relief last year. I would go through unmedicated labor 5 more times if I didn't have to have a kidney stone again. 
Definitely get checked because you don't want an infections while pregnant. Good luck!

I had terrible pain as well and I went to see the doctor - turns out I had an ovarian cyst that had grown larger throughout my pregnancy and the pressure was to blame. They worried about ovarian torsion which scared me but the pain went away with a heating pad and some Tylenol. My OB said if the pain didn’t go away with those things to head into labor and delivery and let them know about their findings! They can see these things on ultrasound so make an appt if you think it’s necessary!

I got kidney stones with my last pregnancy at 35 weeks. I’ve had two natural births and the kidney stones pain surpassed them both. I luckily did not need any intervention beyond getting them checked and getting pain meds. Not fun though - praying you get some relief!
And on the plus side labor and delivery will seem easier for you! 😬😂

Actually just had my first kidney stone at 22 weeks (I'm 25 now). I had to have a scope procedure to remove mine due to it's size. I was in and out of the hospital for a few days to manage the pain before we finally broke down and did the scope. My stone didn't show up on ultrasound. Praying for you mama!

Yep. Just had to have two huge ones removed while pregnant. One of my stones shifted and blocked my kidney. I didn’t know I had stones and by the time I admitted I needed help and went to the ER my kidney was as risk of bursting 🤦🏼‍♀️ went right into emergency surgery. 
They placed a stent to help pass the pieces after they busted them up and the stent was crazy painful too. Had it removed after 5 weeks and I’m finally feeling better. 
Definitely go get checked
