Sprinkle shower ?

This is my second pregnancy, first was with twins. So my 3rd baby. My family keeps asking if I want a sprinkle shower. What are your thoughts? Initially I said no but I know it would just be immediate family. 
How do sprinkle showers work? Should I have one!

I have a 2 year old daughter and pregnant with my son. I’m having a sprinkle. Immediate family and close friends. Idk who said you only get one shower but I say each child is special and should be celebrated.

I personally wouldn’t do a sprinkle, but that’s just kinda how my family is - we think one baby shower/event per mom, not per baby. However, if it’s immediate family and they are the ones pushing for it - your call. Also potentially consider the health of yourself/your guests and how Covid is doing in your area.
If I lived closer to family and it wasn’t a bad health time for the world, I’d do a “kiss n see” after baby was born.

Is the baby a different gender? We are doing a sprinkle (virtual) as we are having a little boy (we have a 2yr old girl). We have all the big stuff, just need the small things and everyone loves celebrating baby!

If it’s only for family I would agree to it just as an excuse to have a fun get together. Don’t make a registry. All the people attending are those who would get the baby a gift when they’re born anyways.
